I was feeling a little down about how much plastic I pick up when I'm looking for rocks and shells on the beach, but reading this reminded me of how many cigarette butts I used to pick up and that comparison made me feel a little better. I still find a lot tho

So I was sitting here in my garden watching the pollinators fly between my pepper flowers when I noticed I didn't see any spiders on the leaves or in their webs! So I decided to have a look around and guess what I found! I have a pepper frog, does it burn?

I've been seeing a lot more cranes lately! Herons have always been ubiquitous but I feel like I only saw my first pair of cranes a few years ago and these are the third I've seen this year, and the others were just in corn fields

We don't get a lot of sunny days in winter but they are beautiful.

It's been so windy lately a calm day was nice

All the snow is destined to become part of lake Michigan.

It feels kind of natural to me having grown up here, but it is wild to think about how I can drive north for a whole day and turn left and still see the same lake.
