Not as enjoyable as her first book. The characters were unlikeable and did awful/stupid things. The MC allowed herself be walked on which is unpleasant to read about continuously.

A welcome return to the Thursday Murder club characters. Osman has finally scaled back in number of characters that results in a clearer story.

Thankfully this book was shorter than standard but it still was a painful first half. Unlikeable main characters and mysterious backstories that aren’t told until too late in the game. Yes, it’s upside down

Baby’s in a mood this morning 🙁

Normally I’m a pretty big Peter Swanson fan. This one was interesting as it’s told in reverse, which is intriguing. But the final planned gut punch (which I love when Swanson does well) doesn’t land as I couldn’t remember the name. It wasn’t until I read reviews did I realise. Did not stick the end.

This was a disappointment. Bauer has been hit or miss since the tremendous Exmoor trilogy. This had very uncomfortable passages of animals in distress. On top of that most characters were not fleshed out.
