Since 2017, our work on Syros with Manos Vorrisis has helped sterilise 1,500 stray cats. Now on Tinos, 400 cats have been sterilised so far, with a target of 1,200 by 2026. “Partnership built on shared values: love for animals, love for Greece, professionalism and action.” 💚

We were proud to present the Paros and Antiparos team with a certificate of appreciation for their incredible work on the Community Cat Care Project. Flora, Dina, Susie and Eleni have given so much to ensure the project runs smoothly. We are eternally grateful 💚

A lot of our work focuses on neutering. But why? Because without it, the cycle never ends. One unneutered cat can lead to hundreds more, bringing more suffering . Neutering stops that cycle. It gives cats a healthier, safer life. Real change starts with prevention.

On Tinos, around 3,000 stray cats live among local communities. Since 2023, we’ve been working with Manos Vorrisis of We Live Together vet clinic, helping sterilise around 400 cats so far. Our goal is a further 1,200 sterilisations by end of 2026, creating lasting change. 🐱💚🇬🇷

Today is #WorldCageFreeDay. Organisations including @ciwf.eu and @eurogroupforanimals.org are gathering in Brussels in front of the @ec.europa.eu to stand united in one clear message: it’s time to end cages. We are proud to stand alongside this collective movement ✊#EndTheCageAge

This #WorldCageFreeDay starts the countdown for the @ec.europa.eu to deliver the long-promised animal welfare reforms — including a cage ban. Together with farmers leading the way, we’ll stand in front of the EC to say loud & clear: cages belong in history books.

We were so pleased to the team at Strays of Loutraki, in Loutraki Peloponnese, by funding antiparasitic treatment for 90 dogs. For these dogs, something as simple as protection from parasites can make a huge difference, improving their comfort, health and overall wellbeing.

Working together makes all the difference. 🤝 We’re so grateful to stand alongside dedicated partners like Save Your Hood, supporting animals across Greece in critical moments and creating lasting change together. 💚

With support from German wildlife organisation Aktionsgemeinschaft Artenschutz, we have been able to provide Alkyoni Wildlife Hospital with €500 towards the care of 18 vultures. We thank AGA for their support and are proud to stand up for vultures, who are often misunderstood🙏

The Greek government, with Aegean Airlines, organised a flight to bring citizens home from the UAE, ensuring they didn’t have to leave their pets behind. 101 people and 45 animals are now safely on their way to Athens. Because no one should leave family behind. ✈️🐾

For many stray animals in Greece, motherhood isn’t a choice. Without sterilisation, female animals can give birth again and again while struggling just to survive. Our sterilisation programmes help protect them and prevent more animals from being born into hardship. #MothersDay

Our Equine Care team recently returned to Paros, visiting 11 villages over two days and providing vital hoof and dental care to 47 equines and even one goat. It was a rewarding outreach, reconnecting with owners and helping animals walk, eat and live more comfortably. 💚

In 2012, our trustee Anna Stamatiou visited Kasos and witnessed the birth of a donkey foal named Flora. 13 years later, in summer 2025, she saw Flora again, now safe and cared for by the Hellenic Society for the Protection of Equines A special full circle moment. 🥰

We’re proud to support the wonderful work of Santorini Animal Welfare Association and their safe haven for elderly donkeys, mules, and goats. 🐴🐐 We were delighted to help by sending our skilled equine dentist Alkis and farrier Tasos to provide care for these gentle souls.💚

Today the End the Cage Age legal case is being heard at the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg. Led by @eurogroupforanimals.org this hearing challenges the European Commission over delays to phasing out cages for farmed animals. 🐔🐷🐰
