I just adore the Coast Guard paint scheme. Looks good on everything. For a good time, look up "Coast guard V-22" or "Coast Guard A-10" :D

I'd already seen 4 Concordes and every SR-71 by the time I got to see my 1stMiG-25 Foxbat in Kyiv. Such a rare and special thing. The only MiG-25 in the U.S. (that we know of) is currently on display at the USAF museum in Ohio, an incomplete example that was found buried in Iraq.

The Hiroshima Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall was built in 1915. On August 6, 1945, it stood almost directly below the atomic blast when the “Little Boy” bomb was dropped; most of the building was destroyed, but its steel dome and the concrete core of the building remained standing.

The Chornobyl Exclusion Zone has been closed to most visitors since russians invaded Ukraine in 2022, but you can get a small taste of radioactive wasteland by visiting this Сільпо (Silpo) grocery store in a suburb of Kyiv!

Built as a civilian DC-10, this plane was bought by the Royal Netherlands Air Force and converted to an aerial tanker. In 2019 the RNAF switched to Airbus A330s and sold two of these tankers to Omega Aerial Refueling Services Inc, which provides refueling services for military customers.

T-10M (or IS-8) heavy tank at the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War in Kyiv. The tank has changed locations since I first saw it in 2019. It has since been repositioned so that the gun is aimed toward the front, toward russian invaders.

Slothy chilling out over above I-5 just south of Bellingham. The original Bellingham sloth stuffed toy was stuck about 20 feet up a tree just off the freeway. The Washington State Department of Transportation removed it, citing a possible distraction for drivers or, worse..

Remote Sprint Launch site. Owner is a total nutterbutter. Take the tour to hear him bitch about not being getting paid $1,000 to show his missile mockup at an airshow, how the Sandy Hook shooting was staged, or how he doesn't want "the gays" involved in his World Peace art/dance performance.

Temple of Doomsday Among the ICBM fields of North Dakota looms what remains of the Safeguard anti-ballistic missile system. Once in command of over 150 megatons of Spartan and Sprint interceptors, it operated for less than a year and cost a whopping $5.8 Billion ($34B in 2025).

's favorite game: Find the Highest-Yield Nuke Displayed Next to a Playground. While I bet the winner by a mile will be the NMNS, I humbly submit a 5-megaton Spartan sandwiched nicely between an elementary school and a daycare in Langdon, North Dakota.

USS Sam Rayburn (SSBN-635) entered service as a ballistic missile submarine in 1964. After 25 years serving in America's nuclear deterrent force the sub had its missile tubes cut out, shortening the vessel, and was converted to a Moored Training Ship.
