One of our weekend traditions is my 1st grader and I go to our neighborhood coffee shop for breakfast. There’s a sweet grandpa with a thick European accent who comes up to my kid and asks if he’s been good this week, and then gives him a dollar bill. I love having 3rd places in my neighborhood
