Tonight's film is... The Lovebirds. It's Issa Rae and Kumail Nunjiani. This is a rewatch for #RomComWeek I'd forgotten how good the banter is with these two. Loving the 'You sound crazy, brown man and your beard looks like murder' diner scene

Today's matinee is... His Girl Friday (1940). A classic screwball comedy, with the lovely Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell, who I don't really know. It's a Howard Hawks' picture too. I love a hot guy who is good at comedy and that is Mr Grant. He's like the OG Jon Hamm. #RomComWeek

Tonight's film is... It Happened One Night (1934). It's the original screwball comedy, but not as screwball as they became. It's early Hayes Code, so there are a few moments of sexual tension. It's Clark Gable, so the king of grumpy smoulder. But there is an ionic leg moment #RomComWeek

Scottish Opera offers hugely discounted tickets to people under the age of 26. In fact most of the theatres here do, usually for around £10. Which means you could see a whole live show for less than the cost of a ticket to one of Timothee Chalamet’s films. Just saying.
