A sewage spill killed more than 44,000 fish in the Chattahoochee River More than 44,000 fish died along a 15-mile stretch of the Chattahoochee River after Atlanta released nearly 6 million gallons of raw and partially treated sewage into a tributary last month, state wildlife investigators have concluded.
