I have this weird case with my Mac where #chrome displays a box or band in a slightly different shade, on an homogeneous coloured page, but only when hardware acceleration is enabled and only on external screens. Taking a screenshot does not show the box or band. Taking a picture with a phone does.

I'm running in circles for a second day 😫. I need some android permissions granted before the integration_tests start. This does not seem to be supported. I've found some flaky workarounds with "flutter drive" (deprecated) and adb, or using a completely separate test package 'patrol'.

@flutter.dev, is it possible to use AdoptOpenJDK for building apps with Flutter and to ditch Java 8 and Java 11 entirely on the dev machines? A corporate policy might inhibit the use of Java 8/11 due to licensing concerns and I’m not sure about the implications. I’m using Android Studio.

I saw some serious font kerning problems running on Android 13 and impeller. The issues weren’t there when using Skia. I know that rendering fonts is seriously complicated, but it is a foundational part of a framework and should work reliably. 😢 I will report an issue next week. #Flutterdev
