I think most vegans can agree that one of the most annoying things we’ve heard from someone else is, “I used to be vegan.” 😩

I hate when people say, “I’m vegan, but I respect other people’s choice not to be.” That’s like saying, “I’m a feminist, but I respect other people’s choice not to respect women.” Do you see how that’s odd? We have to be consistent in our logic, people.

The idea that we can’t address the oppression of other species until we fix our own is nonsense. Oppression is interconnected, and we can dismantle it all at once. There’s no hierarchy in fighting for justice.
