20 years ago at this time, we were in the lobby of The Frenchmen Hotel, probably watching Chester have a smoke. In remembrance of all those who lost their lives and condolences to their loved ones. And hope that all who were physically and mentally uprooted can perhaps find a moment of peace today.

What are your thoughts on the apparent new trend towards "slim fiction" - 100 pages or less?

I just wrote a new poem and made myself laugh. It's longer than most of the stuff I write which I found interesting, but there it was, flying out of me like old coins at a casino. I think I'll read it at the next Open Mic Poetry Night at the Waterloo Public Library on Sept 16th.

I just submitted a story I wrote this week, deadline today. Cutting it close, but I needed every extra day I could get. The cool part is that the word count *happened to be* 1973, my birth year. This is kind of relevant to the story which starts with memories of Halloween masks from the 70s. LOL!

Today I put a little work into the upcoming book KATRINA: AFTER 20. I'm aiming for a June release. I sit back and consider recording myself reading it. Then I remember how Dyslexic I am and how many headaches and fuck-ups there'd be, and I shake my head and decide against it. Again.

Coming June 1!! We would like to play a part in elevating and showcasing other writers by publishing a single story at a time. That one we find really special. Exclusive. This is not meant to generate income, that’s not the goal. It’s all about the story. And we finally found the ONE for this year.
