Today's activity with the 8 yr old

Restaurants are amazing if you think about it: a symphony of people buying, cleaning, prepping, cooking, and delivering food to us every day. And im over here like sure they nailed the atmosphere and pricing and presentation and taste, but the dinner roll was kinda small, 3/5 stars.

People are asking if im going to be writing about the experience of carrying for a child with cancer. On such little sleep and with such a roller coaster of difficult experiences, it's hard to feel creative. The only thing I could write is that cancer is bullshit. Not exactly Whitman.

After a long inpatient stay, my son has completed his first round of chemotherapy and did well! His main side effects from the treatment have been nausea and lethargy. It would be a stretch to say that he's back to his old self, but we are all so grateful to have him home.
