It's been a minute since I've started to make my own hair, so I thought that I'd go back and try on old hairs. Unexpectedly, it didn't look right to see Adeline without the bangs I made for her! On one hand that's a big win, because it was a longstanding goal to solidify at least a fringe for her!

I am sincerely bemused by how much people like my earring/headpiece project. Not unhappy by any means, but I really thought that for just accessories the interest would be significantly lower. I know nothing about people.

Ooooh I am very obsessed with Pilgrim's Traverse and the weapons from it. I see more jewelry in my future. I'm a huge sucker for stained glass.

I finally manage to create (1) moodboard after days of trying to figure out to put on it and immediately am thinking of creating like. Three more. Post project exhilaration is no joke.

Adeline's pronouns are she/her, but she would describe her gender as "Whatever you find most convenient to address me as." Genuinely unattached as long as you aren't using a gender as an insult. For her sexuality, depending on the day, it would either be; "Good luck", "Uh, repressed..?", or a shrug.

Canon lore is like a suggestion to me. I like to know it thoroughly, so I can use the parts of it I find interesting as a basis, but if I can think of something that I like more I will 100% throw it out the window and not even feel bad. I've found it to be much more fun that way.

I think it's great to see people being creative with their WoLs, but I don't think there should be any obligation to make them objectively interesting. Whether you have deep creative lore or play as the trailer Meteor WoL, as long as you enjoy your WoL and are having fun, that's all that matters.

I don't tend to analyze it much, but I'm REALLY drawn to when people just... unashamedly love their characters? I love it when I can see the full range of character experience- everything from the gritty, to the elegant, to the simple shots of just their face just because they wanted it to be seen.

Adeline doesn't feel jealousy often, but when she does she tends to be kind of shocked by her own feelings. And then once it's sunk in that it's what she's feeling, she just does her best to ignore the absolute hell out of it, and whatever/whoever is causing it.

The more files I create in blender, the more annoyed I am at myself when I don't come up with easily recognizable names for them. It's hard for me to name a WIP, but it's sure harder to go back through my files and wonder 'Are YOU what I was looking for? Did I already check you? (Ans: No, and yes)'

The best way to spot glaring errors in your art is to flip the canvas. The second best way is to post it online with a caption about how proud you are of it.

It really is nice though when the need to create something overrides my fear of being perceived.

I think for me, my characters click the most when I can figure out what they love and hate on an abstract level; those become the core parts of their personality, and everything else is a lot easier to build off of that.

Been trying to play more with lighting, and trying to better set up 'scenes' rather than gpose in empty space 🤔. It still takes me an unreasonably long time to get to a point where I'm somewhat satisfied, but at least I get there.

Part of me wants to make more things from scratch again, but the rest of me is so used to vanilla mashups and the culture surrounding it that I would need to learn better optimization to feel comfortable sharing anything. And the idea of trying to optimize topology on detailed meshes is 😭 scary.
