Had some shincha this morning. I missed last year, so I’ve been sorta craving it for a bit. Super refreshing and long lingering flavors. Got 4 solid steeps out of it, maybe could have pushed for more. Might swing for Gyokuro too, though I hate having to race through it before it degrades.

We watched Walk Hard recently (it’s still one of the funniest movies of all time), and then I made the mistake of learning it’s almost 20 years old. Nobody told me comedy peaked so long ago.

I had this tea today. It was very good. Very calm with floral and honey sweetness with some nice mouthfeel. I can imagine it being even better after appropriate rest.

Have you ever had one of those days that your brain just cannot brain no matter how you try to crack through? Where any train of thought seems to be barred by a fog wall? Not even tea is helping. I feel like Taravangian on those days he’s smart enough to know he’s dumb. Minus the atrocities.

Started the day out with some Longjing, wrapped it up with @white2tea.bsky.social cream. While the teaboat is cool as the kids demand all the pets be fed, I miss the simplicity and sweet chabu. So while those are drying, I get to do this. Unrelated, my need to play Mörk Borg soon is very strong.

Been drinking on this @white2tea.bsky.social Minutes to 9 in Paris today. The mouthfeel and flavors on it are just incredible. Also got this sweet Goku statue while out at the mall with the fam today. Hell yeah. Malls being wildly packed again is kind of a neat nostalgia trip.

Trying new stuff today with some samples included in recent orders. They’re both extraordinarily good. The Ma Li Shu was like drinking a forest of peach trees in bloom. The Nannuo has a little bit of everything, sweet and bitter and floral with great mouthfeel. Super exciting. Great longevity.

I liked where the tea took me and it made work much more bearable. I also didn’t have jury duty today, so that was nice too

This was from last night. It was incredibly good and fun. Tons of depth and interplay with so many flavors. Honey sweetness contrasting with florals+minerality; it checked all the boxes except being unable to tag them here to say how sweet it was and how fun it was to chase it all over my palate.

Bulang mountain ban pen sheng. I really really enjoy this stuff. It’s powerful but sweet with a lot of complimentary contrasts between the two with enough floral to connect them all cohesively. Tastes clean, tastes good, do dig. Hell yeah.
