Evocative imagery to depict its ruthless prestige, oppresive layouts to match the pressure on those defying its rules, dynamic & tactical camera placement to replicate the unique thrill of a derby, etc.

Ryouta Aikei's sensibilities fit like a glove in Mono, a show that revolves around five photography club girls going on all sorts of fun outdoor exploration, so it's both thematically fitting and visually amusing for the whole thing to be framed as if it was shot by a real camera

About Bocchi S2: nara is, if anything, a more visually transgressive director than Saito. Had a blast with Dungeon Meshi, don't remember being this hooked on a fantasy world ever. The entire dungeon is akin to a huge constantly evolving ecosystem, similarly to the endlessly fun cast. Impressive production dynamic too, resourceful and economic yet explosive when the moment called for it
