some DJ colleagues got me wondering why i never tried DJing ambient music, since I already have day-long playlists for our house parties... i quickly remembered how much of my ambient library is 20+min tracks from the same handful of artists... 🙃

the roads were so bad when i was leaving work last night that my partner had me crash at their place to save me the extra 20-30min of driving... now that i know that this is a thing that can just...happen, i guess it's time to actually start keeping a crash bag with spare clothes in my car... 😅

i think i've developed a pet peeve for renditions of "silent night" that don't switch to a minor chord for the first "sleep in heavenly peace," like that is the emotional pivot of the entire song and missing that minor ruins the entire thing.
