When Sara Sharif was removed from school on 17th April 2023 the school immediately flagged their concerns with Surrey County Council (SCC). They also returned the required form to the Council shortly afterwards, confirming her removal from school and that they had safeguarding concerns.

Audiology services will be back at Dorking Community Hospital from this Monday. It's wonderful news for hundreds of people in our community who were left stranded when they were shut without warning over the summer.

Over 20% of first-class mail is delivered late in RH postcodes. In Buckland and Betchworth, there was no post delivered at all when the post lady was on holiday. People have missed important NHS appointments, parking fines and more due to this poor service.

I was on BBC Radio Surrey this morning discussing the disgraceful cuts to local services by Royal Mail in Dorking and Horley, despite the company making a profit. Royal Mail recently confirmed plans to cut back, delivering second class letters only every other weekday and axing Saturday deliveries.

I met with Clarion’s Regional Housing and Repair Leads to raise residents’ concerns around poor communication and delays. They’ve laid out new plans to improve: more Housing Officers on estates, better contact centre tech, and faster repair response - aiming for first visits within 28 days.

I’ve been speaking to ITV about local companies such as Specsavers who are able to take over the NHS hearing services contract at Dorking Community Hospital but are being held up by bureaucracy.

Evie is 11 and after a 2 year wait for an assessment she was diagnosed with ASD. Surrey County Council have blocked Evie from getting an EHCP for over two years. They even called Evie’s mum, Kathryn, to dissuade her from pursuing an EHCP. Watch Evie’s story:

A step forward for accessibility in Horley! Surrey Highways is finally acknowledging the dangers of pavement parking on Massetts Road. The latest parking review proposes double yellow lines to ensure safe access for our disabled, elderly, and young families with buggies.

Good news! Specsavers are bringing NHS audiology services to Dorking and will soon be able to treat new patients! This has affected thousands of my constituents have been left stranded and needing to trek to Kingston since the NHS closed Dorking audiology at the hospital for no good reason.

Cancer patients are being priced out of travel insurance according to the cancer support charity, Maggie’s. I questioned the CEO of the FCA about these reports and he assured me a multi fund review into insurance is being conducted.
