Managed to snag the Affinity suite for free on my iPad. I've been practicing with it all day today, and I cannot express how much more intuitive this software feels compared to Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Night and day. 🤯

If I have advice for any comic creator, it would be to make the career you want to have. Don't rest your dreams on pitches and prayers. Crowdfund. Make comics. Break traditions. Have fun. Find and build your community. Stay flexible. And, most importantly, keep your head up.

Went through some of my old art from before my time at SCAD. I noticed that even though my technical skill wasn’t where it is now, I took more chances and tried more things back then. I wasn’t afraid to draw something because I had no regard for the “rules” and just followed my own vibes.
