Tonight’s documentary:The Stringer-The Man Who Took The Photo (via Netflix) “A 2025 documentary directed by Bao Nguyen.It presents a two-year investigation on the matter, arguing that a photo stringer named Nguyen Thanh Nghe actually took it rather than the officially credited photographer Nick Ut.”

Many years ago I did a shoot with Luisa on the roof of my studio. It was before digital, so shot on film and lit with strobe. Love the powerful feeling of this one!

The other day I was at a shop and I paid for my item with cash. Remember cash? It’s what we used before tap. 😉 This is what I found in my change back: two 1951 nickles with King George on the reverse! And they’re pretty good shape considering they’re 74 years old..

Many years ago, I had an industrial designer create my portfolio case. It was steel with my logo etched on the lid. The pages were brushed aluminum and the prints were mounted on top. It was pretty cool at the time, but cost a fortune to FedEx any place. 💰

If you enjoy what you do, you can be BOTH working hard and hardly working.

A bit of juxtaposition with old buildings and new. And, for some reason, I like that grate in the bottom center of the composition.

Sometimes simple architectural details can be visually interesting.

Saw this in front of Arts Commons today. It seems to be a piece of pop-up art. Whatever it is, it’s cool. “As above, so below”

Passed by the Glenbow Museum today. It’s looking pretty sweet from the outside. Can’t wait to be able to visit again.
