Episode IX should've been called The Rise of Palpatine. Assuming no other story rewrites, at first glance it seems it's about the return of the Emperor, but it's actually about Rey. The moral then becomes about how a name shouldn't automatically be judged. It's a redemption of lineage.

Spent some time playing Oblivion Remastered because I just could not get back into it when it shadowdropped and, yeah, I can start to feel the hooks again. It took me over 200hrs to finish it on 360. It might do the same this time around lol.

Found out over the weekend that the LA trip that we didn't think was doable actually is, so that's likely getting booked in the next few days. I joked after SW Celebration 2023 that I'd follow it around the world, and now that actually seems to be a thing.

I've just seen the prices for the UK date of the Speed of Sound "Crush 40" tour and...yeah, they're about as delusional as I expected them to be. Starting from £75/person, going up to £375/person (including ticket fees) for the highest VIP level. Actual daylight robbery. Please don't buy tickets.

I simultaneously want, and don't want, a sequel to Alien Isolation so this both excites and terrifies me lol. The first game is one of the scariest I've ever played, and I'm usually pretty non-plussed by horror games.

Well. It's taken AT LEAST 240 hours, but we've finally finished all the content in Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition. I'd gotten bored of playing it a long time ago as it's our third time through, but we said we'd 100% it so that's what we did.

I'm glad we've cleared that up. I thought it was because they wanted to name him after a US restaurant chain and calling him Denny seemed a bit boring.

When I'm working on my own I like to go through some band discographies, either of bands I fell away from or ones I probably should have listened to by now. Today's one is Puddle of Mudd as I REALLY liked their first album, but thought the second one was a bit meh. Well.

After seeing the Speed of Sound VIP tickets sold out I was going to say "wow, some people have more money than sense/really enjoy getting scammed", but then I remembered that the venue only holds 1250 people so there might not have been that many tickets actually available in the first place.

Found Zelda Switch Lite on Vinted for £120. Not bad price, but seller also had bundle deals on, so threw some other bits in for 20% discount. 45 mins later, seller cancels order and then takes the bundle discounts off their shop. Not my fault I was taking advantage of the offer you had set up 🤷‍♂️

If Epic laying off over 1000 employees from across their Fortnite teams doesn't show that the live service/MP gaming market has bottomed out, then I don't know what else to tell you. Time to go back to smaller teams making engaging games and not chasing the almighty dollar. It's reset time now.

I mean, there's still the slight issue that Shenmue III....isn't great, but I'd be wrong if I said I'm not tempted by the special edition. Will this lead to a Shenmue IV? Probably not, but who knows?

Jim Carrey was very against sequels in the past - he only really did two that I can recall (Ace Ventura and Dumb & Dumber). Being in all 4 Sonic movies, when the third one gave him a very good out if he wanted it, must show how much he's enjoyed being Robotnik. Sonic 4 will be better for it.

Finished season 3 of Invasion and I don't think I've forced myself to get through a season of TV as much as I did this bullshit. Hopefully Apple don't renew it for a 4th season, but if they do...honestly, I'll just read it online and be done with it.

The only SoS I'll recognise in relation to anything Sonic is Summer of Sonic, not the final "Crush40" tour. It looks exactly like it smelled from a distance.

Got back into Breath of the Wild at the weekend because I remembered NSO gives me the Switch 2 Edition and I can use the phone app to find shit. Plus I've had it since the Switch 1 launch and never played long enough to REALLY get stuck into it. 80% main quests complete but only 12% overall.

I'm a fan of Orlando, so I'm not mocking anybody here, but this is the funniest thing I've seen all day. It's like "yeah, we'll just forget the scoreline, nothing to see here". Go again next week, guys. Season is still young!

Turned Orlando City on for something to watch before setting up for SNS, and the first thing I see? Goalkeeper getting sent off, then New York FC going 1-0 up. Losing 3 from 3 to start the MLS season, then. Fantastic.
