Mr Tawny opted to switch roosting spots from banana tree to neighbour’s abandoned chook house early afternoon yesterday. Fewer magpies and mickey birds to aggravate him under there I guess. #TawnyFrogmouth #ausbirds

Changes are afoot! Youngster appears to have finally moved out of home, so Mum and Dad are empty nesters again. After roosting in the same tree for months, they’re now roosting in trees that are closer to their annual nesting spot. Think we might be inching towards the next nesting season…
