The one thing that has made me a better minecraft builder and artist, is using real life reference images. I mash together pieces from objects that exist in real life or in paintings and work off from those. But it’s all still my own work and interpretation of the world which is fantastic!

I love how I spend a week designing a cool building in creative and now I have to spend another week gathering materials for it
