Just saw a review for a picture book where someone was mad because they wanted the book to be about a single mother but, alas, the father seems to exist, as well.

I'm seeing a lot of people complaining about a TikTok-hyped self-published book that apparently is terrible, but a weird amount of the critique is focused on the grammar. Obviously, tons of mistakes are an issue, but I read the first page someone posted, and my bigger problem was it's confusing.

I see hating on YA is back in on my Twitter timeline. But of course the examples of how adult literature is so much better quality were all classics. 🤣 And they went with the classic complaint YA is "all Hunger Games knock-offs" as if we're in 2012.
