An old friend of mine owned Cricket St Thomas where To The Manor Born was filmed. One night in 1986, after tv closedown, we drove down there so I could walk up 'that' staircase, then we drove back to London!

Gosh... Penelope Keith. Absolute Legend. Loved her in everything she did. One of the greats. We will all miss her hugely. RIP Madam. Thanks for the magic.

Today I bought this cottage. It's on Loch Awe in Argyll, Scotland. If you don't know the area, you must visit. I hope to have it available in early August. What do you think of it?

James Hunt passed away on this day in '93. He raced at a time when you had to have courage & he had lots of it. There is a blue plaque to him in West Kensington at Normand Mews.

These empty seats are the corporate ones. I find it sad that people given these seats prefer to eat & drink inside rather than watch some tennis. The tennis was very good!!

It's 31 years since Rory Gallagher died. Was there a better guitarist? I only met him once, but his brother Dónal and I are good friends. I was lucky enough to be invited to the flat on Fulham Road to play Rory's guitars. Such an honour Rory is much missed, never forgotten.

Did The Royal. Mail stop putting the price on stamps so we'd have no idea what they cost? There is another price increase on the way... I'm not completely sure, but I think a first class stamp is £93.00 & a second class stamp is £45.50. To post a small parcel is £135.99. Is that about right?

How Fabulous!! I have just got back from a local school where I read some Mr Benn stories to the children. We then had a discussion about the moral, and the meaning of the story. It was great fun.

When we look back in history, there are pivotal dates that spring to mind. 6th June 1944 - D-Day is one of those dates. We should all doff our hats in memory of the sacrifice of all those that took part to give us the life we have today.

If I went on holiday to the Maldives or Kiribati, would I be Atoll protected???

I have been involved with Mr Benn for over 30 years. Putting him on here shows how much love there is for the character. I have no doubt that this played a huge part in the film plans. I want to thank all of you for the support. *doffs bowler hat*

When I was growing up, Kenny Dalglish was a Celtic Legend. He achieved so much in his career onwards with Liverpool & Scotland and as a manager. I wish him all the best in his fight against cancer.

Very sad news about Kevin Keegan. One of the most Fabulous people I have ever met. If anyone has the determination to beat cancer, it is King Kev.
