1.) OK, so I hit an engine limitation with Godot. Mipmaps are generated automatically, which is great. Problem is there is no way to do nearest neighbor resampling on the new textures. The engine does not allow it. #gamedev #godot #indiedev #krtia

Do games written in assembly have lower latency? Playing some SNES on real hardware and a CRT. While I know CRT's reduce latency, this beats modern games on a CRT in terms of latency as well. Games are like multitudes easier too when they are this responsive.

I've done enough moping. Anyways, Rosie's Rampage is going on a brief hiatus until the NextFest after this one. We set up the store-page wrong, which was entirely our faults. The demo is 90% finished and will eventually be released. In the meantime, we will be working on a little side project.

Using my Windows 7 PC is making me realize steam was a mistake. Would be nice to have some GOG style DRM free games about now. Guess I'mma rebuy some stuff on GOG then.

I've fallen in love with Windows... 7 Building a Windows 7 gaming machine out of old part and the OS is just incredible. It stays out of my way and just works. Driver installations are spotty though.

In godot, is there a way without baking to only render out shadows once for static objects? Or even, a way to otherwise reduce shadow updates? #godot #indiedev #gamedev
