Yoshi's Island SNES 100% Complete!!! Never have I completed a game that was so fun to play but so terrible of an experience to 100% looool (but I did it!) Been meaning to beat this classic I somehow never played growing up :3

I've been feeling a disconnect within the people I know in SMB1 from all the bs that's happened lately. It's caused me to realize I want to make or help establish some other type of general multi-purpose server to help bridge that gap (that isn't just a "Spiker's server" thing) but not sure what 🤔

In terms of speedrunning as of late, for some reason, I got myself into speedrunning NES Donkey Kong (OG and Jr.) and now have good times in both! 1:05.8 in OG DK & 1:28.1 in DK Jr. :0 Cool to try something really short but interesting for a run :D

Today was the kind of day that makes you stare at a wall, wishing things could've been different. But I don't want to run away. Because I know that there's still a path forward, even if it's hard to see. All I desire now is for peace to work out in some way. Life is too short to be spent worrying 😓

I played in an NES Mar10 Marathon Race today with other NES speedrunners, and it was very fun! I was on pace to get a top 3 time in the event, but disaster struck on the last game Dr. Mario and I had to redo the entire board (see below) losing me several minutes :( Still finished and had a blast :D

This took a REALLY long time for me to do, but I finally beat Shinobi on PS2! I started playing Shinobi almost 2 years ago due to how captivating the gameplay was to me, despite its harsh difficulty. I made a push towards beating it in Dec 25, but couldn't beat the final boss. But now, I did it!! :3

I got 19:10.3 in SMB1 Warpless! Glad to finally get a real PB with Big Fire Mario after quite some time. Sadly choked the 19:0x to a bad water room, but definitely cannot complain. MORE TO COME :3

Last night, I PB'd in SMB2J any% with a 7:57.946! Despite playing 8-4 very poorly, I somehow barely managed to snag the second barrier. For a run that could've been close to 7:56, still can't be mad since I've been stuck at a 7:58 for about 2 years 💀 Not done yet, but we take those 🔥

Just achieved 19:14.7 SMB1 Warpless with Big Fire route! This is the 2nd best Warpless run I've ever done, despite a lot of really dumb mistakes. Expect a real PB very soon :3

I fucking did it, 19:49.458 in Vs. Super Mario Bros. Warpless after such a hard grind YES DUDE. Multiple different strategies and a ton of practice FINALLY paid off. Sub 20, 2nd place, AND IT'S A 4X. Unreal, I'm so proud of myself for finally pulling through 🥹

Got hit twice this run yet still PB'd despite missing the sub 20. Managed to get 3rd place by 0.1 seconds so that's pretty cool. What's not cool is the first quarter of the run having background twitch stream audio because I forgot to mute desktop audio in OBS 💀 (it's now off) Sub 20 very soon 👀

I don't think I've ever shared this around social media before, but if you ever wanted to know why I ended up falling in love with NES speedruns, it's almost entirely VVVVVV to blame. That game permanently changed how I viewed old video games growing up, and its OST still gives me chills to this day
