the sailing nerfs are a failure on two fronts: testing & communication. if high level salvaging was 70-80k xp/h on launch everyone would be fine with it, but jagex apparently didn't sufficiently test the rates for a core part of their new skill which is pretty concerning.

sailing is a lot of interesting and some very good ideas that were released before they were finished imo. ship combat is just awful, crewmate progression is non-existent, movement is beyond janky, and more. all fixable problems, but problems that should've been fixed in advance.
