The #Days promos remind me of the old "next time on Mad Men" clips. Anyway, I bet despite it looking like forward plot movement might happen, they'll give us the same nothing burgers they've been serving up. Even Vivian Alamain can't save this wreck. Well, not without James E Reilly anyway.

I'm not loving much on #Days lately, but Julie's scenes lately have been fun to watch - her flouncing around Salem PD and snarking at Jada was great.

I appreciate that #Days has pushed more emotions and exploring the characters‘ feelings into their writing, but it’s unfortunate that it is at the expense of plot movement.

So today, 4 of the show’s “younger” set aired. Only Alex gets any real story. JJ and Theo got to retread their biggest story from nearly a decade ago, again. Jeremy got to recap to his 80 year old cousin. None of this is drama…it’s just talking. #Days

This Chad story...I dunno man. I compare it to Willow’s custody battle on GH last year and like, #Days really went with the most mundane and boring option.

I cannot believe we’re on the third week in a row of Leo and Javi “drama”. Just break up already! Go to Texas and come back even younger and make this stupid triangle even more unbelievable #Days

Dimitri’s hair is foul and the director did him dirty shooting from behind. #Days

Using my day off to watch "A Murder Between Friends" and idk if it's really worth the $4 rental (the script is a big meh), but Joan Collins, Jacob Young and Nadia Bjorlin are fun to watch - they sometimes make the strangest acting choices.

The best part of today's #Days was Abe and Paulina's background comedy at the start of the christening. I wish they'd write more for those 2 because they do play off each other very well.

It would be so funny if they fired Tate and Holly, but kept Sophia. And then Sophia and Cat could become best friends with Gwen and Leo, too. And they could all move into Marlena's house and she could show up monthly and be like "you guys..." and that's what we all want to see right? Right? #Days

The thing that's so aggravating about this christening is like...it didn't have to be written as an emergency? There's no reason it couldn't've been an event where people are available to be there. You could've gotten the same lame drama out of having more people there. #Days

Setting up a love triangle for 2 weeks and then writing off one of the three involved (even temporarily), seems like something that would halt any momentum and drama. So of course, that's the way this show chose to go. #Days

Well, today's #Days was pretty innocuous. Marlena/Brady scenes were a rare treat, Jeremy had something to do and Stephanie and Jada caught up. I really zoned out during Sarah and Xander stuff tho - I'm not even sure what they're still arguing about, tbh.

It would've been interesting to play a story where Jeremy is bi or gay or on the DL and gets involved with Javi and that's his alibi/secret when Stephanie is hurt/kidnapped/killed. But this show moves so slowly, and doesn't care about Jeremy or Javi or anything interesting. #Days

I was really hoping this was Peacock announcing Days ending and freeing me from my self-imposed nightmare. But it’s just promo for other content. 🫠

Tate is a business major?! But he wasn't working on an internship when Holly and Ari were? More missed opportunities - Tate and Ari or Holly could've been interns at Dimera or Titan and found out a secret together... #Days

It's just - they introduced Johnny as a professor, Jeremy as a teacher, Tate, Holly, Ari, Sophia and Aaron in college and Liam enrolled in adult literacy tutoring with Abe and then...they just didn't connect any of that? Almost 10 characters involved in education related stories and nothing?! #Days

Days right now is reminding me of the final years of Guiding Light - a lot of vets around (Reva, Alan, Josh, Beth, etc) but a lot of stories were just newbies and children running around kill sheds in NJ. I thought that was a real low for soaps, but I think Days has found a sub-basement.

Not that these 4 are keeping me watching, but between this news and the quality of the last few months of the show, I’m so close to being done. WTF are they even doing over there?

So we get our monthly Liam sighting - will his knife wound heal before we see him again in February? Will we find out how he got it in March? Will he finally talk to Abe again in April? Will he learn to read in May? #Days.

It’s weird that Leo is friends with Xander, Chad, Marlena and Gwen. But Chanel has no friends. Johnny has no friends. Alex has no friends. Brady has no friends. Sarah has no friends. #Days

I usually watch Days right before I log on to my job for the day, kind of easing into my very difficult analyst work. But I was catching up on Traitors ahead of the work group chat this morning and so I'm watching Days right now with wine, and tbh, this show is much more pleasant with a buzz.

It's just. If you're going to setup red herrings for Stephanie's stalker then 1) they should air more than once or twice a month, 2) they should interact with her in ways that seem ambiguously menacing/innocent and 3) the reveal of the actual stalker should be surprising, but inevitable. #Days

Holly and Ari and a sorority? More like “snore”-ority, amirite? #Days

See, part of me can’t believe they’d hire a name to play Peter for this to be the end of him…but then they paid Michael Dietz for like 6 appearances so idek anymore. #Days

The way this show sets up stories and then barely starts them. The Salem Stalker had killed off like 4 or 5 victims in the time that Stephanie’s stalker has just piddled around sending weird notes. Same with this Kiriakis family family going broke...just the slowest choices. #Days

Why are we playing MULTIPLE scenes regarding pulling the plug on Peter? He’s clearly going to pull thru bc they paid for a name. But also, watching a recast Kristen cry over a recast Peter when the characters haven’t interacted onscreen in 30 years is just…so stupid #Days

I would like RSW to learn how to stand naturally and stop putting his hands on his hips and puffing out his chest. Like, please learn a new way to physically show cockiness! #Days

Kayla is pulling the weirdest confused/almost angry looks while Justin is talking to Kristen. #Days

All this dialogue between Gwen and Dimitri is just sound and fury signifying nothing. Meaningless shouting and recapping from retconned characters masquerading as leads. #Days

I cannot believe this show cast a new Jeremy Horton, gave him a contract and then stuck him in a nothing-burger story. Doug 3 had more to do. Jeremy has to spend NYE with Julie instead of with friends or a date? #Days

That is definitely a lesson in how NOT to do a Friday cliffhanger. Why does this team insist on the most boring option for reveals and plot twists? #Days

I guess I'm happy we get gay weddings and gay characters who are not eunuchs or "the best little boy" tropes. But there's something about this wedding that falls flat for me. #Days

It's gross that Johnny gets to have hopes and dreams and viewpoints in multiple stories and Chanel mostly reacts to him. She is merely a mirror for him to learn about his feelings. Even when she gets to say what she wants, it's through the lens of how Johnny will feel about it. #Days

I don't know what Ari expected from Roman since he gave Ava a job and a room, or Marlena who is sissy besties with Leo. I really miss when people on this show were able to hold long grudges. The way Sami used to rip into Kate at a mere mention... #Days

So EJ and Johnny lead the show in episode counts and yet I wouldn't say that either of them are leading and driving front-burner story. Another sign that this writing team is actively incompetent at making an interesting soap opera. #Days

Johnny has to stay the CEO of DE because he needs the money and nobody else wants the job? The same CEO job that the family has spent the last 15-20 years jockeying for? #Days Imagine if all of a sudden no one wanted to run ELQ? or Jabot? or Spaulding Enterprises?

I would love to know who decided that we should have an entire episode about Gabi finding out Stefan died. He hasn't been on screen in over a year and he mostly aired with Camila's Gabi, so it just doesn't really resonate the way the show obviously thinks it does #Days

So EJ read the Christmas story this year huh. Starting it with the census part is a strange choice for a tv show. I know it’s usually the start of the Christmas story but I think it’s the lamest part. #Days

So the new(ish) writers decided to bring back a recast villain from 30 years ago, have him kidnap (but not kill) his recast and retcon siblings in order to later kill them in the crypt, after being inspired by Vivian's "buried alive" antics, also from 30 years ago. Talk about garbage. #Days

Every time this year I've missed weeks worth of #Days episodes I tell myself I'll stop watching and never pick it back up... and then I come home, unpack, and then start catching up. I'm just too nosy to let this show go, even if nothing on this show makes sense or is good.

It’s crazy that this is only Liam’s 3rd appearance. Hype for his role started like 10 months ago, Hank and his family have been asked and interviewed about it for months and all we have to show for it is 3 appearances and no story. #Days
