I agree with much of the concern in this thread, but in many ways this feels like a return to something less alien than preliteracy—it's the same approach to media that I see when I visit my silent gen dad and he's watching "whatever happens to be on tv" instead of something he chose to do.

Unfortunately for us millennials this is also true of the emerging younger generations entering the professional workforce
