Patricia and Jessica are childhood friends from long before Megan joined their crew. They vibe on a special level ✨

ANYWAY! It's International Women's Day, and not even a year after the first drawing of Jessica, all three girls now had names, faces, personalities, wardrobes, and colors. They'd become young ladies with dreams and aspirations of their own!

Here's a handful of sketches of the place itself. A delightful late 1800s sanatorium by the fjord, turned into a hotel. The part I frequent is a recent addition, built in New Nordic minimalism: high ceiling, granite everywhere. A thermal spa with quite many different basins, roman baths, and saunas.

here's more naked Jessica, Patricia, and Megan. But, they're naked because ALL the girls are! Here's an ancient group shot of all the girls I was drawing regularly at the time.

The girls were originally created for a juicy/creepy halloween story, where they'd each lose part of the flesh on their body. As the drawings I did with them grew less dirty, the mystical malady idea stuck around, and I did a handful of strips around the concept.

The girls would regularly be featured in sketchbook group shots, together with other characters of mine. Here's one is from around 2012.

Not long after Patricia showed up to compliment Jessica, the concept arose that they'd be able to detach/re-attach any exposed joint, and even trade body segments! This would become a returning concept.

For Christmas the same year, Jessica defied her intended one-off nature. The witch theme was left behind, and, lucky for us, so was this sweater after featuring in just this one drawing. 🎄❄️😽

Before drowning you in more sketches of my girl trio, here's what started it all. In 2004 I wanted a halloween drawing to kick off my Playmouse page. Just a throw-aware character for the gag of a witch on a broom that went through the pelvis. 🧹🦴😽 First time I studied anatomy to get a picture right.🎓

It seems I'd forgotten how quickly Patricia showed up! We're not long after halloween 2004, and this is likely the first drawing of the two of them together!

@sleepypossumluv.bsky.social correctly called that Megan was wearing the strap-on in preparation! This is one of the first drawings of the three together. From before Megan even had a head designed for her thst wasn't just a skull! 💀🦝

I returned to this gag in a sketch a bit later, apparently after settling on their names!

Another illustration and comic strip combo. Many of my strips over the past five years have been created by using something random from the same sketchbook as a prompt. This time, however, it was the double-strip that prompted me to draw out the little beach scene a little more lavishly. ☀️⛱️

Oh, I even tried coloring this one. At the time, I was starting to paint digitally using my brand new Wacom tablet, using a small free program called OpenCanvas.
