It's been a little while, had quite a bit going on in the background so I haven't had much time to draw lately,happy to see falling off the horse for a while hasnt totally ruined me yet at least haha Just a simple little thing to get back in the swing of things

A little concept of a sleep token inspired character and another related complaint design sketch I've been thinking on It might be too complex to do things the way I was originally thinking, but might do some brainstorming on how incould make it work

Just a bunch of random super quick sketches from today trying out some different things

OK, got my final sketch pass done, ready to move on to inking next and then maybe some coloring and shading. Might take a small break from this to do some more drawing rather than refining, just to stay on top of things

I've done a couple of refinement passes on the last sketch and I'm starting to feel it come together more and more. I think it still needs one more good pass with some adjustments to the canvas size, and then I'll consider inking it.

Well I typed this up once already just for bsky to delete it for me,so let's try again... I miscounted so the last picture was actually the 30th so the challenge is over. Definitely still have a ways to go, but also think I'm doing a lot better than before.

Day 29: I changed the upper muzzle a bit to make it a little fuller looking I'm not sure what I want to do with the patterns, I tried a few variations, none of them seemed terrible, but nothing's clicked yet to make me think one looked "right"

Day 28: I did do a drawing yesterday as well, but it honestly came out too similar to the reference I was using to feel comfortable posting it, so I'm not counting it Today though, I'm much happier with where things are at, even though I'm a bit iffy on the hand I drew

Cw: vore internal Day 28: Decided to shake things up a bit since I wasn't really feeling any particular poses, I'm kinda surprised by how much I don't hate how this came out lmao I feel like if I wanted to,I could shade this and have it look at least halfway decent, maybe for a future day

Day 27: Noodles dragons Fynn??? The colors aren't quite 1:1 but I think that's part of the fun right? I'm still not quite sure on the ears, I was kinda thinking making them more round was somewhat ottery, but they end up looking more like puppy ears all floppy like that 🤔

Day 25 & 26: This one has been through a few iterations already, but I'm essentially trying to make a noodle dragon version of Fynn here, so you can see my initial outline, rough sketch, and my current progress on lines here

Day 24: This is just a rough outline for a tattoo idea I've had floating around, it kinda incorporates all of my character's in some way, I'm just not sure this sort of negative space concept will translate well to a tattoo

OK, back from lvfc, so I can kinda set things straight here. I think we should be on day 28 right now, and I have a few things to post that my connection interfered with, but probably not enough to catch up, but we'll see

Day 23: Just a silly little doodle again, not really super focused on anything in particular

Day 22: Did this mostly on the plane ride to lvfc, just a little touching last night Might be the last for the con,we'll see how much downtime there is

Day 21: Tomorrow is lvfc, so the challenge may be on a small break, we'll see how traveling and drawing goes

Day 20: I've noticed that my muzzles are still pretty weak, and my favorites of what I've drawn really de-emphasize them, so i ended up doing a pretty extensive study on artists who draw some HEFTY (and very handsome) muzzles.

Day 19: Bit late posting here, but I did make a little silly animation last night

Day 17: Work has been blasting me lately, but i have somehow managed to stick with it. Anyway have a flustered individual

Day 16: Had bunch on the brain so I decided to draw a little bit of rabbit snacking on an ott 0:3 I also managed another quarter of my art exercise,so slowly getting through it!

Day 15: Another smallish sketch just a little goobers This might also become a sticker someday,we'll see. I did also manage to at least start my next course exercise. Only did about 1/4 of it, but it feels like the inertia is mostly gone now at least,so we keep on trucking

Day 14: Decided to try something with some clothing. I think it turned out pretty good, but I had the benefit of knowing what it was supposed to represent beforehand, curious if it translates to people seeing it blindly

Day 13: Trying a bit of a more serious pose here after the toony bits. I think it came out somewhat OK, I may have tried to make some proportions a bit too human like which takes away from the otteryness of this particular one, but it looks fairly comprehensible at least

Day 12: Just put the finishing touches on that sticker, added some effects layers as well as text and an outline

Day 11: Did a lot more work on the silly sticker I sketched up before. Lined it in, and I'm experimenting with the colored lines the reference does I also added some color, though there's still a few elements missing

Day 10: Hitting double digits with the lowest effort one thus far. Went to an mtg event and didn't get home until super late. Tomorrow will be higher effort for sure, but for now I need to sleep off this headache

Day 9: Work has been killer the last week, so I'm super drained ATM, so I went a little more low commitment today, just doing a small scribble inspired by Randowis's scribbly lady in a recentish animation of theirs. Might refine this a bit more later on and turn it into a sticker too

Day 8: Much happier with my results today. Attempting a different way of constructing bodies. The first image is meant to be an Otter just from my imagination, apparently on a very strange diet. The second is a wolf drawn from reference and a bit more cleaned up. He turned out better than expected

Day 7: I'm honestly fairly embarrassed by this one. I think because I'm more invested in this one than others, and I know it has a lot of issues. This will serve as something of a benchmark because I plan to return to it a few more times.

Day 6: This was another hand study from my ref sheet. I really struggled with this one. Hands in particular seem to be very sensitive to proportion, which is one of my big weaknesses. I'll break down the full process in the next post

Day 5: This one was more of a study for me of some pulex art. I've previously modified this one for my Otter, but I wanted to try this more simplified style from a more wholestic perspective. Posted the base for comparison Base for purchase from them here: www.pulexart.com/store/p80/Pr...

Day 4: I'm pretty happy with the sense of shape I managed to get here, though there's obvious some room for improvement on the actual perspective and specifics of the shape itself I think my idea of what the perspective should be changed over the course of the drawing with some strange results

Day 3 I'm starting to realize that this will be quite the time commitment, haha, but I'm still trying to stick to it! Today I wanted to branch a little more back into the furry stuff but also try a bit of an unconventional angle, total time was about 1 hour

Day 2 Today was primarily focused on exercises the results of which I'm still not sure if I'll share or not (they're not terribly interesting) but I took a moment to try drawing this mushroom I would've liked to clean it up a bit more but got pulled away by other things

Day 1 This is mostly justna scribble sheet I doodled on while listening to the drawabox lesson 0 stuff. It's not much to look at, and I spent way too long doodling What's supposed to be a towel that fell off the rung across the hall from me. Gotta start somewhere right?

To give some context on where I'm starting from, I took a few mandatory art classes in college, but only did what was required to pass. Otherwise, I'm fairly inexperienced aside from a bit of dabbling here and there.
