i’ve interrupted my fair share of events, even my own film premiere in vancouver. i’ve interrupted book launches and events. it’s not that hard and helps shut down the “business as usual” white supremacy rhetoric. like get it together. diversity of tactics !!!

seeing people who attended the Giller talk about how they are being shamed ‘by their own community’ while entire families and writers and journalists and first responders are being killed in Palestine right now infuriates me s/o to the writers, publishers and booksellers that boycotted the Giller

So it’s #TransDayofRemembrance #TDOR and I wanted to hold that. Outside of being an author, I’m a drag artist. I hated being one of the only trans women in #CanLit and now I hold being one of the only Indigenous folks in the drag scene.
