Today my Bird of the Day is the Ruby-throated Hummingbird. This spring started with finding some in Texas and now in fall in Minnesota they’re always a welcome find. Amazing to watch and wonder at how these tiny creatures travel such vast distances. 🪶 #itsabird

Today my Bird of the Day is to celebrate getting a Covid and flu shot. It was apparently free and super easy to get. Sure my arm is a bit sore but it’s well worth it. 🪶 #itsabird 💉

Today my Bird of the Day is the most fearsome bird out there if only to small bugs. Tyrannus Tyrannus or the Eastern Kingbird. This one was in south western Wisconsin just keeping an eye on things. 🪶 #itsabird #kingbirds #nokings

Today my Bird of the Day is the American Robin. It’s a Mary Poppins kind of day where I just kept thinking I could fit all the things into today without any reality of the time it would take being considered. Just a theoretical it’ll fit kind of thing. 🪶 #itsabird

Today my Birds of the Day are birdwatching Great-tailed Grackles. After comprehensive study of the birds they should look out for they pointed their eyes skyward in hopes of seeing some of Laguna Madre’s many avian species. #itsabird 🪶

My Bird of the Day today is the Black-bellied Whistling Duck. This one wasn’t concerned much by people being around and walked closer when I arrived at a birding spot likely due to a history of being fed. Looks kinda like it was colored by someone that had never seen a duck before. 🪶 #itsabird

Today my Bird of the Day is the American Robin. As I’ve been sitting on the patio observing the birds in the yard the robins so far have been some of the most shy. They’ll hang out high in the trees observing but not dropping down much. As soon as I start to head in they come out. #itsabird 🪶

In terms of my backyard project I can’t ignore my Bird of the Day today, the House Sparrow. They’re certainly the most prevalent bird in my urban backyard and despite all efforts to find food they’ll ignore, none seems to exist. Now I’m happy to feed and keep them around. 🪶 #itsabird
