To see the creator of The Book of Life and El Tigre giving in to making AI slop and even endorsing it is in the Top Ten biggest bummers I’ve ever woken up to Dude went to CalArts, he all but singlehandedly brought Mexican Maximalism to international attention, and he’s endorsing AI. Disappointing.

these are two are very Lilith and Lucifer coded to me, but the early movie yearning is very Vox yearning for Alastor so they’re a bit of both really

So while Bergen Town is a closer parallel to Pentagram City - down to having a depressed monarch, a song montage about how much it sucks, and a literal wall of TVs Vox style - Poppy and Branch visit it similar to Charlie and Vaggi visiting Heaven together
