#hobbystreak day 111: Jade Phoenix is done again. Walls/barriers are almost done. (Yes, I'm sick of them as well)

#hobbystreak day 110: Sealed the Jade Phoenix, but another chip has shown up, so i'm fixing that. Then drybrush on the walls/barriers after last night's wash has worked well. Just a little left to go with them.

#hobbystreak day 109: More touch-ups on the Jade Phoenix. Hard getting the paint to match. Ended up mixing something closer to the end tone. We'll see how it looks when it dries.

#hobbystreak day 108: Touch-ups on the Jade Phoenix are going well. Just some washes, then sealing (again). Another wash on the walls/barriers to try and even it out after covering the points where it attached to the sprue. Got the other side to wash, the I have to seal them again.

Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Been slacking on this. Going back to fool around with some of the figures that didn't get their due when I unboxed them. I have very few DC figures (because MacFarlane figures are off scale and not great overall), but this Mezco Nightwing is great!

#hobbystreak day 107: Another hodge-podge day. More work on the jump plumes. Primer coat on the Jade Phoenix to repaint where it broke, and other chips. The a tiny bit on the walls/barricades.

#hobbystreak day 106: Green base and wash on the last lance of 1st Company. Also had some damage in the figure case, so fixed that.

#hobbystreak day 105: Some dark orange touch-up and then lighter orange drybrush on the jump plumes. And most of the grey touch-ups on the walls/barriers. Next time I paint things like that, i'll just snip them off the sprue...less frustrating.

#hobbystreak day 104: Not what I planned for tonight... A buddy asked for a bunch of miniature bottles for his Gremlins. So I found every MCP base sprue I could and cut them all off. I hope this is enough...

#hobbystreak day 103: Boring day cutting and cleaing the walls/barriers. Still lots of painting touch-ups to go on them. Not sure if this was the right way to paint them, but any other way seemed worse.

#hobbystreak day 102: Got the walls/barriers varnished, so I can cut them off the sprue and finish them. Then grey drybrush and beginning of orange for the jump jet exhaust.

#hobbystreak day 101: More base tan on the Wolverine. Started base tan on the Firefly, I think it will need more. And about done the walls. i'll maybe put a light wash on them, then seal them. After that cut them off the sprues and finish the sides.

#hobbystreak day 100: Another drybrush on the walls/barriers. The base grey on the jump plumes for the Urbie and Highlander. Finally, work on the Wolverine from a lance that was a bit further along then the other mechs.

#hobbystreak day 99: Finished sealing the last of my campaign forces. Now I need to base them all. Then next drybrush on the walls.

#hobbystreak day 98: Cockpits washed for my last 3 campaign mechs, plan on sealing them over the weekend. The first drybrush on the little walls. Finished up by priming the last lance of the company i'm working on.

#hobbystreak day 97: Touch-ups done. Next will be wash on cockpits and then sealing. Plus started back on these little barriers.

#hobbystreak day 96: Brown was applied. Just touch-ups, bases, and cockpit glass left. Then did some cleaning and such for the last lance of the company i'm working on.

#hobbystreak day 95: Touch up wash on the green, then wash on the metal. Only the brown, touch-ups, and sealing to go!

#hobbystreak day 94: Back to painting. Even though we did the whole campaign in one day, I'm still gonna finish up the mechs. There do seem to be rules to continue using your campaign force in later campaigns. Today was just some touch-ups for sloppiness and minor chips.

#hobbystreak day 93, part 2: 2nd Scenario was protect the terraforming plant. We had solid tactics, send most mechs to deal with mechs, and keep some back to deal with the sabotu

#hobbystreak day 93, part 1: 2nd day of Alpha Strike. Back with my other group. 1st scenario was destroy/escape the Jade Falcon scouts while salvaging what we could from our last battle. They came on from all angles, but some mutual support had us take them out, with the loss of the Rifleman.

#hobbystreak day 92: Spent Saturday playing the whole Aces Shifting Sands campaign with a buddy. Here's just a couple of pictures from the memorable moments. The Battle of Thermo Pile. The unnammed rookie pilot in the Wasp taking on the Bane. The fall of Star Colonal Sender. The final battle

#hobbystreak day 91: OpFor and both campaign forces (one 4 player, one 2 player). All but the three winged mechs were sealed today.

Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Sun WuKong, part 3. He came with a ton of accessores, and some extras. Including another member of his monkey army, this time with a staff!

#hobbystreak day 90: Tan done one the Jade Phoenix and Hierofalcon. Definitely won't be done for Saturday's game...but they're good enough for now.

Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Sun WuKong, part 2. In addition to all the accessories, he comes with light-up effects for his eyes and the ends of his staff. Yellow eyes, red eyes, and even versions that change brightness (which they call breathing mode).

#hobbystreak Day 89: Decided to get the metal on the Jade Phoenix and Hierofalcon at the same time. I'll get the tan tomorrow. Hopefully some touch-ups as well.

Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: After enjoying Sun WuKong's Monkey army so much, figured I needed a Sun WuKong. Very poseable and comes with a ton of accessories, 12 extra hands, 2 alternate expressions and a whole extra head (for his crown), plus some cloth goods. He's very cool!

#hobbystreak day 88: Cockpits painted on the Jade Phoenix, Hierofalcon, and Ion Sparrow. Then metal done on the Ion Sparrow

Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Balrog part 2. Like I said, Jada still killing it with these figs. And Balrog is a big boy. Like that the size of the figures is appropriate.

#hobbystreak day 87: Some touch-ups on the others, but mosty tan and touch-ups on the Ion Sparrow. I don't think i'll have them all done in time for Saturday's game...but still will be close.

Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: More Street Fighter 2. This time M. Bison, wait I mean Balrog! The first of the bosses you fight, totally not based on a famous figher of the time. Another solid figure with good accessories!

#hobbystreak day 86: Touch-ups on my last three mechs. And took a quick look at the rest of my new force and all of my last one. Noticed the one panel on the Panther that needed wash after the photo and fixed that. Hope to have the new force done enough by Saturday

#hobbystreak day 85: Another Saturday out, so some easy painting at the hobby store. Some touch-ups and drybrushing on two lances from my first company of my mercs.

Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: On to some Street Fighter II figures, Jada doing their usual great work. E.Honda was my first figher and still holds a place in my heart. He's appropriately sized and comes with some hands, a head, and his 'hundred hand slap' effect.

#hobbystreak day 84: Base coats just about done for the metal models (Hierofalcon, Jade Phoenix, and Ion Sparrow). Need to do some touch-ups, then next coats. Feels like solid progress. Might not get them done before next campaign starts...but i'll be close.

Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Agents of Omega, part 2. Some various notes. I like the "William Shatner" head better than the other one. Just generic enough to fit in multiple time periods. A little bit tall, but not out of scale.

#hobbystreak day 83: Finished up black base, and some more tan base, on the Hierofalcon. Then a little more tan base on the Jade Phoenix plus a bit started for the black base.

Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: BBTS Agents of Omega, Secret of the Serpent Temple. Whoo...that's a mouthful. The figure is pretty solid, decent posability, and tons of accessories (especially hands). The snake statue is decent as well. Overall a good first effort in this line.

#hobbystreak day 82: Wash and drybrush on the lower legs of the Hierofalcon (part of the repaint, since he had too much tan). The started the black basecoat for metallics. Got the Ion Sparrow done and a good way through the Hierofalcon.

Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: More Agent Carter. Again, great accessories. I also love that he can fit in with different time periods of figures. Just swap out his gun and he fits in with WWII era stuff just as well. Plus some size comparison here...

#hobbystreak day 81: Minor changes on the Hierofalcon. Then started the base for the tan on the Jade Phoenix. He still needs a little more, so i'll revisit tomorrow.

Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Agent Carter from Fresh Monkey fiction. Shock! I bought a monkey figure...though this one is in a tux. Great accessories, solid posability and a banana!

#hobbystreak day 80: Base for the tan on the Hierofalcon. Pretty pleased, but i'll revisit tomorrow to see if I need more or less.

Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Keep with G.I. Joe, picked up this Cobra Commander from I Got Next Retro Toys and Games on Saturday. Great price for an old figure. He'll need a little cleaning, but no worries there. I actually really dig this look...though the gun is a bit much.

#hobbystreak day 79: The Panther, Wasp, Chameleon, and Loki Mk II are all done aside from bases. That means all of my current campaign force and half my next one are almost done. Did a little extra work on the Ion Sparrow as well.

Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Special Forces from G.I. Joe classified legacy. He's decent. Good amount of gear...but still no hands and the ones he has are not great.
