Paying Homage to P.T. Barnum! Barnum advertised the Fiji Mermaid as a seductive siren---it turned out to be a decrepit fish-looking monstrosity. The back cover of my new Supernatural Lake Superior book shows an attractive mermaid--although it looks nothing like the real encounter. R.I.P. Barnum!
