Silva: I didn’t mean the goal on Saturday, I was trying to find Haaland. When I watched the Real game back I couldn’t believe we lost 3-0 because we played quite well but that’s football, no excuses. #ManCity

Silva: if you look at the Treble season now we only have a few players left. We are in transition and we are still learning to play with each other. Having so many new players doesn’t help. These young guys need to learn how to play together. #ManCity

Silva: the earlier we score the better but no matter what we know it can happen. We are capable of creating chance after chance. We know if we concede the tie us over #ManCity

Silva: we have had a day off, like today, we’ve done it before. We’ll be stronger. This sport has taught us a lot can happen. We will fight to the end. Usually after a defeat it’s dark at first but gets better. We know the level we can reach #ManCity

Pep: the important thing is that we don’t see it as a failure if we don’t win. In sport you have to aim to be better next season. There’s no team that wins every game. All big athletes don’t always win. How long do you think about it. There are worse things in the World #ManCity

Pep: tomorrow we’ll train as we would have done today with maybe 1% difference. After 5 minutes tomorrow if Mbappe plays and how that changes things. I won’t give any special messages, it’s like a final. I know we’re going to give it a go #ManCity

Pep: it’s clear to me what team we’ll select tomorrow, perhaps just one doubt, but I know what we need to do. I’m very satisfied with my record of the 50 games I’ve faced Real as a player and a manager #ManCity

Pep: in modern football the training doesn’t make much difference. We’ve done it two or three times this season. Staying at home after so much travelling and games is better. We have to avoid conceding against Madrid. #ManCity

Pep: we can score goals we know that. This is Real Madrid so we have to do it until the end. They have three chances and they scored. We created chances but didn’t. You never know. My favourite comeback was 3-2 against Villa when we were 2-0 down #ManCity

Pep: the task is massive but everything can happen in front of our people. It has to be a perfect performance. We have ideas we have to try it. We have to defend better. We have to try and try and never give up, we know that. We have to be clinical #ManCity

Pep: in a football game anything can happen, we will try. I don’t have to convince my players after 10 years, they know me. It’s an incredible opportunity to try to win the game. We don’t train today l, we’ll train tomorrow #ManCity

Pep: both teams will be desperate on Saturday to win. They are trying to stay up, we want to win the title #ManCity

Pep: if we won in Madrid no one questions my selection, if we lose it’s different. The Premier League is very good but so other leagues. Everyone can see Bodo. We were exceptional in the first 20 mins in Madrid but after first goal emotion came in #ManCity

Pep: now we play West Ham after that we’ll think about Madrid. We don’t have much dollars in the bank for that one but we’ll see. Every game is important and we won’t give up in the Premier League. We can’t play the same team in every game. My focus in West Ham #ManCity

Pep: we’ll see how we react to what happened in Madrid when we play at West Ham. When I make selection decisions I do what is best for the team. They play for staying up. Haaland is fit. #ManCity
