There’s a range of nature activities outside Taiwan’s cities, but this NYT piece sure does read as if the author liked Taipei best. That said, it did seem a remote, amenity filled hotel tucked away in the forested interior is a good choice. Check out Hoshinoya Guguan or Silks Place Taroko Gorge.
