Sad to learn of John Prescott’s death. I spent some time with him on a number of occasions including 9/11. He was understandably defensive but but larger than life with a will to get things done. His rise to DPM was an astonishing achievement. He did a lot for the Labour movement. RIP.

The more I hear from people protesting against inheritance tax on farmland the more convinced I am of the case for it.
