Why I love Alan Wake so much? Even after 16 years it surprises me everytime with some new realization 🥰

Today I ended my first "Remedy Sunday" Game with my first Playthrough of the OG Alan Wake (2010) which made me question a few things (like if some changes were real or just in my head). I had a lot of fun and next week I'll start with Alan's first steps in the Dark Place ☕️

We learn from 2 sources that Alice is not from New York (but moved there to become a Photographer): Alan Wake 2 & The Alan Wake novelization.

The Thomas Zane Design in Alan Wake 2 is just really good. It just captures the Archetype Poet perfectly. I looked through other Covers of the book "Thomas the Rhymer" by Ellen Kushner (maybe I want to collect them) & sorry that is sooo Zane. Also the Jim Morrison as an Orphic artist.

Wednesday night thought: The Surname Faden. I think it could be "Fading away" like a Sound (Reslnant) but as a German I also had to think abouts Threads (Faden in German) and that in Mythology they often are a symbol to take control of your destiny & escape the Labyrinth.

So with University starting next month again & work I thought about a Schdedule for my Streams. So on Wednesday Morning I would like to play some Indie Games & my Love PointnClick 🥰 And the Sunday evenings I want to use to play Remedy Games starting with the OG Alan Wake 🔦

A bit more crazy Control Resonant Thought? Ginnungagap makes me think of the giant Ymir who was created there through the water that was created by fire Meeting ice. The Name Dylan can mean "born from the sea". Ocean = water. Also he represents Chaos & raw forces of nature.

Another Control Resonant Thought about Dylan's "mind place": The dark Space we can enter to level is called "the Gap". In norse mythology there is the void before creation called [Ginnungagap]. Some stories in the mythology say the world was created from this void.

Control Thought: So the Symbol on the left reminds me a bit of an Ammonite. Those are often representing the God Vishnu. He is said to be the Maintainer of the Universe who holds the balance between good & evil. Also he is a God of Rituals. And he dreams the Universe into being
