One in five allergy‑related deaths among school‑aged children in the UK happen in school. Every parent should know their child is safe, which is why this Labour government is introducing stronger protections for children with allergies.

Labour changed Britain for women: delivering the Equal Pay Act, Sex Discrimination Act, maternity rights and flexible working. This International Women’s Day, we’re continuing that work, to build a more equal future and to empower women in every corner of the country.

🍎 I visited Camp Hill Primary School, the first school in Nuneaton to expand its breakfast club offer under our Labour Government’s Free Breakfast Club scheme. 📚 409 children in Nuneaton get a better start to the day, parents gain an extra half an hour a day and save £450 across the year.

Good news for leaseholders! 🏠 🥳 Leaseholders in Nuneaton have been struggling with unfair ground rent for too long - one of the worst injustices in the leasehold system. The Government has announced a £250 cap on ground rent! I stood on this manifesto promise and I’m proud to have delivered it

Having lobbied Warwickshire County Council for years on behalf of concerned residents, I’m pleased to see the speed limit sign at the entrance to the Ribbons estate in Ansley has finally been moved. It’s important to make sure constituents feel safe in and around their neighbourhoods.

I recently visited Old Mill Surgery to see the impact that government funding has made to their practice. They have transformed old paper record rooms into two modern clinical spaces, allowing the team to grow and welcome more patients. Great to see this funding delivering for patients! 🩺

Empty properties should not be exempt from tax. Today I introduced my first bill to Parliament - on valuing houses and properties left empty. The current system rewards them for being a waste of space. This bill is the first step in tackling this issue and I’ll keep working until we solve it. ✅

It’s been fantastic to see so many young people taking part in this year’s Remembrance events. Last week I had the pleasure of joining students at Etone College for their Trust Remembrance Parade. I want to commend all of the young cadets and students who honoured our fallen soldiers.

Today, I attended Nuneaton’s Remembrance Sunday service, laying a wreath in tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice. I'm grateful to representatives who laid wreaths for me in Arley, Ansley, and Hartshill. I also attended a remembrance service at George Eliot Hospital. We will remember them
