Mommy and her baby.. 😊

Making the newly popular red hat of protest as I get ready for a snowy weekend/week. I have offered to help my friends over FaceTime if they want to make one and run into trouble. Knitting has long been a piece of protesting. 🧶

"My husband complains about the cold," the man said. "Can you teach me a spell to keep him warm?" "I can teach you to bind hair into a net to catch heat," the wizard said, "using arcane counting and a pair of fine wands." After a while, the man said "Isn't this knitting?" "This, too, it's magic."

One more baby gift. We have 6 days until his arrival. This was a kit and was cotton which was hard on my hands but it sure is cute. 🧶

This was outside my comfort zone but the mommy to be asked me to make them and so I did. 🧶

I finished the @dyemadyarns.bsky.social Chubby Trevor Suncatcher cowl using Tunisian crochet. It was so delightful to make and it feels like an added bonus that I now have a beautiful cowl to wear. 🧶

Baby sleeve 2 is still somehow not done. But look how nicely the needles match the yarn! 🧶

Second verse, same as the first… A friend gave me some yarn from his mom. And I turned that yarn into a hat for his soon to be born baby. I love when I can make a link like that. 🧶

My youngest asked for yarn to make a baby hat for a teacher. And then asked for some help. So together we got this done. 🧶

At least with baby sweaters sleeve island isn’t so bad. But this baby is arriving by the end of the month and mama doesn’t live close to me. 🧶

Day 1 Hat 24 23 missing completed hats from 2025 were found after the donation deadline giving me a head start on 2026 hats 🧶

Have just finished the goose mittens. Complete with French knot eyes. 🧶

Decided to knit for myself today. Brown is my favorite color and I am enjoying all the brown tones. Also nice simple knitting to ease the brain. 🧶

The knitting on both mitt has been completed but it was too dark to sew in black yarn ends so tomorrow will be the day they become completely finished. The recipient is already delighted. 🧶

I am getting close to the end of mitt 2! 🧶

When one of your hard to buy for kids says they want the goose mittens then you try to make them the goose mittens before the festival of greed begins. 🧶

After a discussion with the recipient the former gloves are now fingerless mitts and out of time out after a year. Mitt 2 is suddenly up to the thumb gusset within hours of the decision to skip fingers.

289 hats to donate because I somehow lost the other 25 hats I finished during the year. Brings me to 2902 donated overall but still frustrating to have misplaced a pile of hats!! 🧶

Finished making the annual ornaments for the tree. Each person has their own yarn color and each year I knit something out of the special yarn. Candles this year. 🧶

Day 314. And today I finished up a few hats including hat 314. That is good enough for this year. I have other holiday knitting to do. 🧶

Day 301 Hats 288-294 🧶 I have virtual training for the next two days. Maybe I can catch up?

Day 289 Hats 277-287 🧶 I am behind. And I only have another 5 weeks to knit for this charity. We will see how close I get to my goal of 365. I am at 2900 for all time as of today.

Sometimes it just comes together and I love it. A variety of scraps that are turning into a hat I want to keep and not donate. 🧶🧡

Just watched the F1 movie at long long last and it was so fun. Worked on knitting 4 hats while watching. A good date day. 🧶

A friend gave me a scarf in progress. I couldn’t finish it because she knits tight and I knit loose. So I took it out and went up several needle sizes and made a drapey cowl instead. 🧶

Finally finished this shawl. The knitting was done last month. Finally took the few minutes to sew in 4 ends…. The i-cord bind off was so much work. I should have done the ends then but… 🧶

Low-rise jeans have to be styled differently. There are many groups who have worn them stylishly in the past, so you have to find the original images to understand their cultural language. Those groups don't include people who wear classically cut sport coats.

My goal is to keep spinning even tho TdF is over. I have this goal each year. I enjoy spinning. But somehow moving the wheel into position seems to be a step too far. Fingers crossed this is my year to keep the habit going. 🧶
