This week on Chat Cooks, salmon tacos with pineapple salsa and spicy sour cream. The ingredients they gave me were salmon, durum flatbreads and salsa. Not bad but if I did it again I'd use smoked salmon instead and more pineapple.

Made some black forest trifle out of the ingredients chat picked. This week they went with cherries, jelly and double cream. Has to be our best result so far after some 'interesting' combinations...

From tomorrow onwards streams will start at 4pm BST. Still Monday, Wednesday and Friday just a couple of hours earlier. Daily evening walks have been tremendous for my state of mind and I'll enjoy them even more before the shady hours. See you in a bit.

Salvaged the remaining ingredients from last week's disaster to make blue cheese and kale fusili topped with my new favourite green chilli sauce. Surprisingly delicious. Guess it's just a matter of ratios on the cheese. Silly amounts of garlic and black pepper probably helped.

This week on Chat Ruins My Dinner... Dr Pepper and soy glazed tuna steaks (surprisingly great) aggressively seasoned potato wedges (great) blue cheese, kale and... animal biscuit dip? Yeah that last one sucked. I need to rewrite the rules lol

Monoco from Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 definitely won the Become Your Favourite Character speedrun.

After tomorrow's stream the next one will be on Thursday 4th at whatever time Silksong launches in the UK. Apparently 3pm BST. Hollow Knight is one of my favourite games of all time and the one that got me into metroidvanias at all. Excited to see what's next.

Made a cheesy rice 'cake' from the leftover noodles and chilli then covered it in crispy bacon bits. Surprisingly tastes way better than the original which had a darker sauce.

Since we're doing a week of Date Everything! characters I can't stand... Rebel.

Pizza time is so much better at half price. Ignore the onions. Part of the deal.

Harper has to be the biggest red flag in Date Everything! (that I've found so far.)

Meeting Lucinda in Date Everything! was an experience. And that experience also taught me a fun new word...

Made cheddar and kimchi mash, fresh mint and chilli rice noodles, then some barbecue glazed pork loin. Affectionately referring to these biweekly creations as Chat 'Cooks' since they pick most of the ingredients. Mash was outstanding but the noodles were just okay, not bad.
