Philosopher and complexity theorist Alicia Juarrero argues that 20th-century biology was one of the first sciences to challenge the positivist, Newtonian causal metaphysics of Anglophone philosophy, which ignored context and mereology.

Computationalism has had many critics in the philosophy of mind since the 1980s. Andrea Hiott and I, however, discuss the possibility that despite the well-founded criticisms, dynamic computational theories have a depth yet to be explored.

Few people, if any, would now accept the Hegelian contention that there are dialetheias (true contradictions). It is the main claim of Graham Priest that Hegel was right: our concepts, or some of them anyway, are inconsistent, and produce dialetheias.

Thinking Things with Graham Harman: Whiteheadâs Way Beyond Philosophies of Human Access
Rahul Samaranayake has had me on his podcast a few times over the years, including an especially generative conversation with Peter Rollins last year. This time he invited me and Graham Harman into dialogue. Below is the transcript. Whitehead popping Kant's phenomenal bubble. RAHULItâs funny. I was reading some of your articles, Graham. You mention Whitehead quite a lot.

One of the best discussions of AI I've seen in a while, because it's deeply informed by philosophy AND computer science. LLMâs are more than just âstochastic parrotsâ, but their understanding is still nonhuman. The discussion of concepts, understanding, and world models is especially informative.
