Some drama yesterday: a mountain bluebird had taken this position on top of a ponderosa that had been the spot of a song sparrow for many consecutive days. I could hear, but not see, the song sparrow. As soon as the bluebird took off, the sparrow flew up a few feet and began singing again. #birds
