So, #TheMandalorianAndGrogu was basically two episodes of the show put together. It's not a badly made film, but it also feels utterly unnecessary. Like, it basically resets the characters back to end of season one, but for no real reason since the series was canceled. 3/5 👨‍👦

The second season of the anthology series, #TheTerrorInfamy, tells a supernatural story of generational trauma and revenge within the real historical horror of the Japanese internment camps during WWII. It does the classic genre thing of showcasing true human horrors and actions. 4/5 🎎

The finale of #TheBoys was pretty much the best you could get after nose diving into becoming the things you mocked & heavily deviated from the original themes & story set up. Not the worst finale in recent memory but far from the best. Spinoffs will probably suck though. 2/5 🦸🏼‍♂️

So, #GoodOmens ends with a movie that is basically a very truncated season three. This was the best we were going to get after the situation with Gaiman and Amazon's response to it. It is a bit disappointing mostly because of the obvious cowardice in the execution. 3/5 😇😈

The first season of #TheFieryPriest is a Korean comedy criminal drama that stars a vengeful fighting priest, a prosecutor trying for redemption, and a bumbling loyal cop taking on corrupt systems. Kind of standard for the genre but entertaining nonetheless. Looking forward to season two. 3.5/5 ⛪️

I am not going to say it is anything particularly special, but the second season of #NCISOrigins continues the same level of production quality and is a solid entry into the franchise. Also, managed to surprise me with the development of Gibbs and Lala. Wonder where it will go next season. 3.5/5 🛶

A shorter film but still poignant and insightful, the black and white French film, #WhiteMane, is a harrowing tale of a young man, a wild horse, and their journey to find freedom and a place to belong in the world on their terms together. 4/5 🐎

The single episode special, #ThePunisherOneLastKill, is really just a standard Punisher episode which is kind of disappointing. Bernthal does his usual shtick, but the special feels like Frank is just spinning his wheels until he is allowed to do something, probably in an upcoming film. 2/5 💀

Didn't have high hopes, and #MortalKombatII was pretty much what I expected. The only real surprise is how much the sequel erased and ignored the first film's characters and story. Outside of premise, this was basically a brand new story with a couple of past cameos. 2/5 🕶

‘AHSOKA’ Season 2 has been delayed to early 2027. The first season released in Summer 2023.

Although the production quality is still (mostly) firing on all cylinders, particularly with the development of secondary characters, I need #DaredevilBornAgain to move past the Fisk vs Murdock aspect and add some different villains/conflicts. Hopefully, season three does so. 4/5 🦯

In honor of #MothersDay, recommending the South Korean mystery thriller series, #QueenMantis about a wayward son reluctantly working with his imprisoned serial killer mother to take down a copycat killer following her crimes. Somehow, it actually works for the holiday. 4/5 👩‍👦

I was not really sure what to expect from #Hive on #Tubi. It ended up being pretty much just like the multitude of low budget horror flicks that make up roughly 80% or so of Tubi's offerings. The highlight is obviously Xochitl Gomez, but film is still mostly middling. 2/5 🛝

A classic "whodunnit" caper, #TheSheepDetectives is a cozy, murder mystery film that follows the well trodden genre conventions with a slight twist: the sheep solve the case. It is a fun, engaging, and entertaining story suitable for all ages. Definitely one worth watching in theaters. 4/5 🐏

While I mostly enjoyed the majority of season four of #WillTrent, the finale was a letdown. Sorry, but showing me why those two cannot work for several seasons to just put them together as a pseudo family moving forward feels like several steps back for both characters. As previously stated, #TheTrip is a Norwegian dark comedy that is the basis for the recent released #OverYourDeadBody. The two films pretty much share the same story with the Norwegian one being just slightly darker, more violent, & having an even less believable romance. 3/5 🎱

While it is a pretty decently entertaining 90 minute or so film, #OverYourDeadBody isn't much more than that even with its impressive and talented cast. Honestly, even for a remake, it is basically just an Americanized version of the Norwegian movie #TheTrip. 3/5 🚤

The third season of #Shrinking on Apple TV could've acted as a series finale, and it would've been one of the best in recent memory. While I am anxious about getting more, I trust Segel, Lawrence, and crew. Just a great, emotional, engaging, and entertaining show with a generational cast. 5/5 🪨

Never got the hype around this comic, and not sure the series would be as popular without its celebrity voice cast especially with its subpar animation. Annual release does help though. 3.5/5 🪐

An intriguing indie film about the pursuit of dreams & what it takes, including what is left behind, to achieve them. #Somnium, on @shudder.com, tells a pretty standard thriller story that is elevated by a "hypnotherapy" angle & some solid acting. Definitely worth watching. 3/5😴

Honestly, #Apex on @netflix.com is a pretty straightforward survivalist, horror flick with a story that not even two talents like Theron and Egerton could do much with. Not much to boast about but not the worst way to kill 90 minutes. Some truly terrible CGI though. 3/5 🧗🏼‍♀️

So, my only real opinion about Hazbin Hotel ending in the fifth season is that it will somehow still result in an illogical, unsatisfying conclusion but decent to great musical numbers which is all the show has ever been.

I questioned how long the whole "lost memory" gimmick could last on #DOC, & the series has answered by shifting away the amnesia from her son to other bullshit backstory that makes the protagonist an even worse person than previously thought. Doubt this goes past season 3. 2/5👩‍⚕️

The second season of #TombRaiderTheLegendOfLaraCroft on @netflix.com leans more into videogames' mysticism while expanding Lara's role as protector instead of a "tomb raider." An exploration of African culture with a huge battle to top it off. Not sure how S3 will continue or build of finale. 3.5/5🎭

Randomly watched the 2013 Horror/Mystery Thriller #Evidence. It is such a "2000s" flick from the editing to the cast to the premise & so on. Completely misunderstands technology for sake of plot. So many recognizable faces. All to just be relegated to bargain bin status. 2.5/5📹
