I had to organize outside the DNC because it was impossible to organize anything new within it. That's because the DNC is primarily a fundraising machine for Democratic candidates and state parties. "Organizing" is a neglected orphan at the DNC.

I started organizing groups outside the DNC in 2000 by co-founding Democrats.com to provide news and community for Democrats. I co-founded act.tv in 2012 to create progressive videos, VoteProchoice.us in 2016 to mobilize prochoice voters, and SwipeBlue.org in 2020 to promote relational organizing.
