Absolutely ridiculous that the only soapy element of yesterday’s #BeyondTheGates was given to a guy who can’t act. Every single other thing was just folks sitting around talking.

That boy’s terrible acting was fine when they dropped him to recurring and he wasn’t doing anything. Now they’re giving him all this material again, which he can’t do anything with except make Tomas seem like a cold, dispassionate jerk. #BeyondTheGates

Also everywhere is Michael Grande, and his blonde Sheila Carter-looking assistant named Fraser. They say her name 20 times per scene, and though there’s no i, it just sounds like Frasier when they say it that much. Cheers was in like season 7 at this point, they had to be aware of it. #OLTL 1988

Boy have I ripped right through 1988. It’s just all so engagingly soapy, even when it’s stupid. Like, these shows used to be so good at throwing out hook after hook after hook, even if each little bit of drama is resolved in the next scene. There’s always another one coming right up. #OLTL

She’s very supportive of Mari Lynn as her new co-star; tries to help Sarah with Cord, by turning her into a (low-stakes) damsel in distress like Tina, which has a certain brilliant logic. #OLTL 1988

September 1988. They got the some of the Beach Boys for Viki’s (and John Russell’s, lol) high school reunion. It’s 1988 and Brian Wilson didn’t come, so of course they’re doing Kokomo, which is fine but you know that is not what the classes of ‘63 and ‘68 wanted to hear. #OLTL

But I do think they’ll be trying to draw a parallel between what Stefano did to Lexie, and what’s happening to Chanel now being EJ’s fault, if this goes anywhere. That’ll be the whole purpose of it, more EJ is Stefano stuff. #Days

This little bit with EJ maybe being responsible for Chanel’s cancer, this could be what will drive Johnny out of Salem, and away from his dad’s side of the family. With or without Chanel in tow. Just a guess. Seems too early to be setting up their exits, but still. #Days
