Just shipped a new beta update for clipper.so with a new "Page Content" variable. Which essentially allows you to clip entire web pages and create your own "Read later" functionality into @NotionHQ. Quick demo below:

Already got my first product mention on Reddit. Even though it's not a very popular post. Still, it's a small success to get clipper.so on the radar for Notion users. 💪

I'm working on a way to get the full page content into clipper.so This means you could create a read-later setup (think Pocket or Instapaper) right inside @NotionHQ Especially interesting with offline mode coming to Notion soon.

So far I've collected 45 people for my clipper.so beta testing group. I think my goal is to get that number to 100 or 200 and then close it for new applications and focus on building an email waitlist for the launch.

One of my favorite aspects of "vibe coding" is that I can do other small stuff while the AI is working on a larger problem. Such as cleaning up, making a small snack, replying to a friend etc.

Just published the first Clipper release to my beta testing community. Really curious what the response will be.

Hello clipper.so 👋 After a month or so of development, Clipper is now at a point where I can actually use it to replace Raindrop and bring all my bookmarks into Notion. Now, some real-world testing.

One of the most helpful phrases I use with Cursor is: "Just answer, don't code" It keeps the conversation focused until the problem or task is clear. Once that’s settled, Cursor can jump into the implementation.

I’m looking over some data from a company about how customers found them. From the latest responses, it looks like ChatGPT has already passed Google and other sources. Most of their customers are SaaS builders, but still — it’s surprising how fast ChatGPT is being adopted.

With the new Figma updates, there’s probably going to be a rising demand for Figma Sites templates. Similar to what we saw with Framer. This is a great opportunity for web designers to build a side business or extra income stream.

I also got basic page properties working in clipper.so There are still some validation errors because the @NotionHQ API is pretty strict about what it accepts. But I did manage to send a bookmark to Notion with some page properties attached. So that's a win.

Got icons and covers to work with clipper.so The icon comes from the page’s favicon, and the cover uses the page’s open graph image. (with some fallbacks) It makes each bookmark look neat and easy to recognize. 👌

Okay, decided to go with this logo for clipper.so - Clean. ✅ - Clear connection to @NotionHQ ✅ - Logo works as an extension icon ✅ More is not needed. Next task.

I'm getting more and more comfortable with the idea to build @markway.io as a Notion highlighter/web clipper. The pilot I'm currently building already feels super powerful, although I only spend two days to connect it with Notion.

TIL that my viral post post in January landed me in the top 1500 of the most popular blogs on Hacker News of all time. It doesn't mean anything, because the blog was a lucky strike. But nonetheless, pretty cool!

Now the import into Notion is working as well! But the page content currently is just the HTML of the editor as text. I probably have to build my own parser/transformer to turn the editor content into Notion blocks.

I'm experimenting to see how Markway feels/performs like when connected directly to Notion. I just set up the auth and now working my way towards being able to actually save pages to databases.

Starting off the day by wrapping my head around OAuth2. I grasp it on the surface, but I'm missing the details.

I started into 2020 with a loose goal of creating a cohort-based course for online facilitation. Having the right tools—like @outseta.com —helped a lot to get things off the ground quickly. But there was so much more that went into it. In this article, I’ll share my key lessons learned💡

Impressed by what I'm seeing this morning from the new OpenAI image model, especially with text rendering. If generating clean, readable text has become consinstent then this is certainly a breakthrough. Some of my favorite pictures so far:

What do you think of this approach to composing templates? — User types "@" — A searchable menu pops up with suggestions — When the users selects a value, it gets added as a variable My thinking is that "@" might be the easiest special character to write.

I'm currently thinking a lot about how to position @markway.io. Overall, my goal is to build a intuitive and powerful web clipper for knowledge workers. But this still feels to "vague".

This was fun to create. A breakdown of the marketing funnel that helped us to grow Facilitator School over the past few years to 250,000€ in revenue. Made me reflect a bit on learnings and what we coul have done differently. Publishing an article together with @outseta.com about it on Wednesday!
