Random fact, but Yes is not employed by Nook, he’s more like an unofficial volunteer, which is why Nook has a hard time understanding his behavior and doesn’t feel comfortable straight up telling Yes to do things

Sometimes I wish I never publicized any of this and kept all my villager characters in my head forever

I feel that Nook shows his care for Yes in lots of small ways and would drop whatever he’s doing to help the little human if he was cold or hungry or sick
