First North America play of Afghanistan: Decades of Strife. Went very well for a prototype

Question for my esteemed Bluesky colleagues. I've got a game we're doing on the Baltic crusades, and the designer (whose family is from the region) has authentic Baltic runes in the game. Is the ugunskrusts symbol, the 2nd down on the left, acceptable?

My wife (!!!!) suggested we play this, Battle Masters, last night, and I simply could not say no... Highlights below

First playtest for the lighthouse game tonight! Went really well....

Starting to work on cards for the lighthouse game to begin playtesting.

Yesterday made the first draft of a 4 page play example for True Command. While not a complicated game, there are a lot of new/unusual working mechanics that we think would benefit from a detailed action by action explanation.

Tim has another playtest with the Afghanistan game. Looking good, but the Talibot is still too easy to defeat.

Not about gaming, but found myself last night driving my buddy's tractor in the local vintage tractor parade for the county fair. Haven't driven a tractor since I left the farm decades ago...

Apparently normal people don't use NLT, IOT, and pax. Who knew? I'm going to guess I shouldn't drop LTIOV or HPT/HVT into game writing either.

On the way to and from Origins my daughter and I were brainstorming a landscape architect game, and plan to borrow some mechanics from Suburbia, so naturally had to play it last night.

Weird to be on a designer's panel when I've designed and published exactly one (1) game. At least I got to hang out with @jasondcmatthews.bsky.social, @djackthompson.bsky.social and Paul Rohrbaugh. Pretty sure Thompson and Luttman likely designed another game in between events. I'm not that speedy..
